Elul: The King in the Fields & the Mikvah

Sep 28, 2024    Pastor Kelly Reed

The King is usually protected by multiple layers of protocol and restrictions. No one can just walk into the King's presence and court without His invitation. Even Esther knew that. Most citizens of any kingdom will never be in the presence of the king and may never see him for themselves.

But during the month of Elul leading up to the Fall Feasts of Trumpets, Atonement & Tabernacles, it's traditionally understood that the King leaves the layers of insulation and goes out into the field. And the pattern of the Scriptures, starting in the Garden of Eden through the lives of the patriarchs and beyond is that the Bride & Bridegroom meet in the fields. The Field is where we all must meet our Bridegroom, the Messiah.

But it is possible to miss the King in the field and not take advantage of the moment of opportunity to see the King. We must not miss seeing our King
