Romans Pt 13 - Abraham the Example for Faith

Paul makes the point that Abraham is the example of faith for both the Jew & the Gentile. His experience is the starting point for a righteousness that can be credited by faith (Gen.15) and is separate from and predates the Torah and even circumcision (Gen 17). Thus to require conversion or circumcision from the Gentiles is out of order. Instead we are called to have the same kind of faith as Abraham and look to Messiah as he did (John 8) so we can experience the same righteousness credited to us.
