A Jewish interpretation method says what happens in the lives of the Patriarchs is reflected or plays out in their descendants and in particular, the Messiah.
With that, Joseph's desire to bring his brothers near to him, despite their sin against him, reflects the heart of God and the work of Messiah. When Jacob finds out, the Spirit of Prophecy returns to him.
Unfortunately, the fact that Joseph looked like an Egyptian made that harder at first. Often, the traditional faith in Christ makes Messiah Yeshua look like an Egyptian to Jewish people--an example from Dennis Prager & Justin Peterson is provided.
