#29 - Isaiah 58 - Come Let Us Reason Together

God sees through all of our religious pretense and pretending. Showing up to worship once or twice a year, for Judah on Yom Kippur, or like many believers in Messiah today, Christmas & Easter, does not prove ones devotion or faithfulness.

For people like this to be shocked that God doesn't respond favorably or answer their prayers is like a parent whose children don't clean up their room when told to, get mad that they don't get dessert.

But what does a faithful life look like? What kind of influence or change does the Word of God make in the hearts of His people? How do believers demonstrate that we are placing ourselves under His rule and reign and authority? There is a weekly reminder... it's called Shabbat.
